Marie-Andrée experienced a temporary change of room in the middle of the night due to a light leak, from the rooftop swimming pool, into her room. Then in the morning, when she came to join us, second change to a permanent room. So we brunch with her eating eggs and bacon on the boat when she arrives.

It's a working day on the boat today, because tomorrow we're leaving for a new island. Marie-Andrée therefore helps me wash all the dishes since we haven't used them for months. Then we're going to wash. Louis removes a leaking water tank on the port side and installs the new pump for the shower.

We went to a second small grocery store before leaving, but we knocked our noses at the door. It's closed on Sundays, or it was a public holiday (Carmen's Day in Las Palmas: patron saint of sailors) because there were fireworks last night. Louis therefore found us another grocery store further away and waited in the car since there was not much parking in the area. Return to the boat to empty everything and clean the fruits before putting them inside. We don't want small insects or larvae in the boat. We started looking out 3 years ago by watching videos of people on sailboats, because many had to bring in an exterminator or learn to live with cockroaches. There is no question that we will learn to live with them, especially if we can avoid it.

We then bring the car back, which is an adventure in itself, and we take a taxi back to the hotel. We take the opportunity one last time to eat bites of shrimp at the pool.

I don't know if it's because I'm really hot, but it seems to me that the pool water is getting cooler every day. Either way, it's still nice after a few seconds.

We then go to see Marie-Andrée's new room and change clothes there for supper. Nice balcony under the trees.

We walk back to the Pier 19 restaurant. We still need a last supper there, especially since Vanessa is waiting for us. This time fish carpaccio: as we remember, Caesar salad: suggested by Tino yesterday and incredible with his homemade parmesan formed bowl and salmon tartare to share as a starter and tuna tataki that we shared as a meal. We eat less in the heat. We finished with their famous mango dessert and honey rum shooters. We would have liked to take some at midnight with Vanessa, but since we're leaving tomorrow, we'll be good.

Marie-Andrée is escorted back on foot to her hotel. And we redo the journey in the opposite direction for the last time. Tomorrow, we leave Gran Canaria for a new adventure.
